Like many of his generation, Joe’s photographic journey began as an art credit in high school, before quickly blossoming into taking photos of his friends on suburban adventures. Somewhere around departing for college, photography became less of a hobby and more of an obsessive outlet for his desire to understand the world.

The real craft began with a semester abroad in Rome in 2017, where Joe studied under Paolo Soriani and found a love for the romantic moments witnessed in the eternal city. During this time, Joe produced his first photobook, ‘vitae., which he launched at a solo exhibition in August 2018 at Photoworks in Leesburg, VA. Several years later, Joe would produce another zine from his time in Rome, aptly named ‘Roma.

After graduating in 2019, Joe found work as an event producer at District Fray Magazine, where he fell in love with the culture of joy that DC’s many communities embody. In 2020, Joe began working as a videographer for the Fairfax County Park Authority where he created documentary films on local history, nature, and communities. Between 2021-2022, Joe lived in Baltimore, MD where he taught as a photography instructor for Baltimore Photography Group.

In 2025, Joe joined Les Enfants Terribles Collective and began a documentary project titled ‘Little Rebels, in which he documents the silent commentary on DC life under the Trump 2.0 administration.
